03.09.2010 Seating : Where do you stand?
There are so many options these days when it comes to seating for a wedding... And, if you're having your ceremony take place in a completely different venue as your reception, the options are insane. What's really popular these days are lounge seating with benches & chairs in various shapes, colors, sizes, & comfort. Really. Don't get me started on accessorizing the chairs with flowers, ribbons, fabric, or bling... there's also the option of styling up the seat cushion/padding, which is a great way to personalize it. I don't think chiavari chairs will ever go out of style--at least, not anytime soon. I recall a time when seat covers were the thing & your wedding wasn't as glam as it should be without chair covers. They're ideal if you are getting stuck with banquet chairs that completely clash with your wedding colors & style.

Do chairs/seating really make a difference? Of course they do. Where do you stand on chairs & seating?

loving all the chair inspiration!
I'm in Northern Ireland where chair covers are definitely still a big thing but having got all my wedding inspiration from US wedding blogs I've fallen in love with chairs! My venue only has banquet chairs which clash with my colour scheme and so I set out on a mission to find chivari chairs to hire - not easy - only to fall in love with gold Cheltenham chairs. It was definitely worth making the effort. I'm so exicted about my chairs!
@forgetmeknot - you're so welcome!
@Angela - chairs can make a huge (yet subtle) statement! Be sure to send me pictures. I wanna see! =)
