I'm a full-time event marketing manager for a major nonprofit (basically I plan big fundraising events for a living), a wife, a mom to TWO boys (11 years old and eight months old), plan weddings and other events (when I'm not at work-work), design paper goods and scour content to keep up with this blog. Are you exhausted just reading that? I didn't want to give you a rundown on my crazy busy schedule so I could toot my own horn and you can ask me "exactly how I do it." Honestly, I couldn't tell you how, but I did want to give you a glimpse of some of the craziness I face on a daily basis bouncing throughout southern California and share my daily makeup must-haves. MAC Cosmetics. Mm-hmm. That's right.
I kid you not, this only takes me 10 minutes (if that!) to put on!! I start with my Studio Fix powder, then go to contouring and blush. I move to my brows and mascara, then my lip liner, lipstick, lip liner, then gloss. I put another layer of mascara, put the eye primer, eye liner... and then a final coat of mascara.
Here is my daily arsenal: /1/ MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation in NC42 all over my face; /2/ MAC Powder Blush in Plum Foolery for my highlights and cheeks; /3/ MAC Powder Blush in Blunt for contouring; /4/ MAC 168 Large Angled Contour Brush to use with #3; /5/ MAC Lip Pencil in Stripdown to line my lips; /6/ MAC 129 Powder/Blush Brush to use with #2; /7/ MAC Lipstick in Angel; /8/ MAC 208 Angled Brow Brush to use with #13; /9/ MAC Tinted Lipglass in Myth; /10/ MAC 211 Pointer Liner Brush to use with #11; /11/ MAC Fluidline in Dipdown as my eyeliner; /12/ MAC Pro Longwear Waterproof Brow Set in Quiet Brunette to fill in my eyebrows; /13/ MAC Eye Shadow in Concrete to extend my eyebrows; /14/ MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Camel Coat for my eye lids.
The only makeup that I use daily that isn't MAC is my mascara. I think it's because I'm attached to Maybelline's Volum Express 'The Falsies' Mascara. Seriously. Addicted.
