When you have a creative business, it’s easy to think that you other people are successful because of the perfect timing or unlimited resources. The truth is it takes a lot of hard work and time for everybody. It’s not about luck. . It’s taken me a while to realize that it’s more than just time, and talent, and “work”... it’s about putting yourself, your art, your craft out there with the chance that you might be judged or not received in the way you anticipated or hoped. It’s sharing your work without needing the approval of others. It’s sharing despite the fear. It’s being fearless. . That’s been my focus this year ... to keep putting myself out there even though I’m not comfortable. It’s challenging myself to try new things and not compare. I have the most exciting news to share with you, but I have to wait until I get the OK to do it.
